World Premiere of the 2018 Mitsubishi Xpander MPV
Mitsubishi, the Japanese manufacturer has unveiled its Xpander MPV in Indonesia. The world debut for the MPV came amidst the time when there is no show in the near history.
The MPV has a lot of styling cues taken from SUVs, such as raised ride height, faux sump guard up front and chiselled lines. According to the company, the vehicle is ready to give Toyota Avanza fierce competition and calls the crossover SUV as a vehicle that combines “roominess with ruggedness”.
Mitsubishi also wishes to target lifestyle buyers by letting the Xpander wear the company’s pronounced X-shaped grille, calling it the Dynamic Shield.
The crossover SUV offers best in class ground clearance at over 200mm. The car has 16-inch wheels and is powered by a hundred horsepower four-cylinder 1.5-liter engine that produces to 140 Nm torque. Xpander MPV will have automatic transmission.
As a person moves up the various trim options, there will be driver assistance systems such as hill-start control. The top-end model of the Xpander features an additional kit with start-stop button, keyless entry, as well as a touchscreen-based infotainment system that has been coupled to six speakers.
It is expected that the 2018 Mitsubishi Xpander MPV will have a price tag of AED 50,000 and will go up to AED 80,000.
