Volkswagen has unveiled three new electric concept vehicles that have been built on the company’s latest MEB platform. The three kinds are a minivan, a crossover and a five door hatchback. Out of these three, the crossover will be the first one to find its way in the U.S.
VW officials have confirmed that an electric crossover which is based on the I.D. CROZZ concept, which was revealed in the month of April 2017 at the 2017 Shanghai auto show.
The crossover will be the first vehicle that’ll use MEB Platform in a battery-powered way, however, it won’t happen till 2020.
The crossover is roughly equivalent to the 2018 VW Tiguan crossover and has a 302 horsepower that will be split between two electric motors. The expected range is 480 km in one go.
Based on the latest buying trends, the fact that VW wants to propagate an all electric vehicle program is by no means a surprise.
