Tesla’s New Showroom on the Sheikh Zayed Road Next Week
Tesla will be opening its new showroom in Dubai on Wednesday, July 12. The salesroom and the showroom are situated on the Sheikh Zayed Road; and the early invitations have been sent to the customers.
Tesla’s director for new markets, EMEA, Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen will be present for the occasion, while Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk won’t be present for the official opening.
The formal invitation features Tesla Model X, which the UAE based customers can order through the website, apart from Model S. The website lets the customers customise their Tesla vehicle for a better experience based on multiple choices.
It is believed that some of the first orders of the Model S and X have been delivered to Dubai-based customers by setting up a temporary service centre.
Reportedly, there are pictures making rounds on the Twitter of the Tesla cars that have been stored at the Jebel Ali Port. Some of these cars might be sent to Dubai RTA for testing purposes, considering that the RTA wants to buy 200 Tesla vehicles as a part of increasing fleet of EVs. A deal has been announced in February 2017 regarding this.
Musk opined that Tesla could invest millions in the UAE’s EV infrastructure in the years to come.
