Subaru BRZ Sports Coupe Gets Performance Boost
Subaru BRZ Sports Coupe has been given a performance upgrade. The special model will be named as the BRZ tS. But despite the expectations, turbocharging hasn’t been provided, and the 2.0-liter boxer engine will continue to function in the car.
Performance Upgrades in the Subaru BRZ tS
One of the most noticeable performance updates is the STI-designed carbon-fibre wing. The wing can be manually adjusted by the driver according to the driving conditions. There are other aerodynamic aids in the car such as the under spoilers at the rear, front and the sides to assist the wing.
18-inch Michelin Pilot Sport rubber 215/40 R18 lightweight alloy wheels are being used on the new BRZ tS. Just like any other powerhouse needs to be reined, the BRZ ts has Brembo brakes both on the front and the back. Some other suspension upgrades like coil springs altered by STI, SACHS dampers and flexible V-braces in around the engine. The stiffeners have been added to the chassis and subframe to make them tauter.
There are also some visual upgrades done along the WRX STI Type RA line. These include red accents around the car, custom badges, fog light covers in the front. The BRZ ts body has three shades Crystal Blck Silica, WR Blue Pearl, and Crystal White Pearl.
For interiors, leather and black Alcantara have been used. The upgraded car will also have door trim, red seat belts and a special gauge cluster also has special gauge cluster, door trim, and red seat belts. The logo “tS” has been embroidered onto the seatbacks.
The production of the Subaru BRZ tS will be somewhat limited, and only 500 units will be built. The car is supposed to come within the market in the first quarter of 2018.
