Rolls Royce Sweptail One Of The Most Expensive Cars To Be Sold
The Rolls-Royce Sweptail might hold the distinction of being the most expensive new car to have. The one-off coupe, which has been in the making since the year 2013 has been customised as per the taste of its buyer.
The Sweptail was shown off at the Concorso d’Eleganza recently and according to the demands of the buyer has been inspired by the Rolls Royces from 1920-1930, whom the Rolls-Royce described as being a collector of distinctive, one-off vehicles like Private aircraft and super yachts.
The buyer reportedly asked for the car’s coach to have a glass roof and the Rolls Royce made it happen for a hefty price of course.
The car includes features from various Rolls-Royce models of the 1920s and 1930s era. The round door from the 1925 Phantom I that was built by Jonckheere as well as the svelte tapering glasshouse of the Phantom II Streamline Salon which was designed by Park Ward in 1934 are the highlights of this grand experience.
According to some sources, the car cost around £10 million. However, there has been no word from Rolls Royce yet regarding the vehicle’s cost. This just goes onto point that with the right amount of money, you can get car manufacturers to build or customise the cars as per your choice.
