Rolls-Royce Motors Cars in Doha Transforms for Exhibtion
The Doha-based Rolls-Royce Motors Cars showroom will transform itself from showroom to art gallery this month for hosting an exhibition by the renowned Qatari artist Abdul Hameed Al Siddiqi.
The event is scheduled to go from October 9th-18th with the sole dealer of the ultra-luxury brand displaying numerous works of Siddiqi. It also includes the debut of some of the never-seen-before works of the artist being revealed at the exhibition exclusively.
The highlight of the entire exhibit will have Siddiqi sketching live in front of the customers of Rolls-Royce Motors and the VIP guests of the event. Fittingly, the exhibit is interspersed the showroom’s iconic cars, and hence, Siddiqi will be depicting one of the latest cars of Rolls-Royce in his renowned style.
The entire process will be will be captured as a time-lapse video so the Siddiqi’s work of art literally, becomes a reality.
The strong ties between Rolls-Royce brand and art has been going on for more than 110 years. The iconic mascot, The Spirit of Ecstasy that adorns the bonnet of Rolls-Royce since 1911 had been created by sculptor and artist Charles Robinson Sykes. Ever since, the marque has been a source of inspiration ever since and has prompted individuals to create their own versions of the mascot.
