Styles, Limited Numbers and Prices of the 2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS
The 2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS will be sold in two body styles, both Spyder and Coupe. However, there’s a catch, there will only be 999 units of this recently unveiled beast! The prices of the RWD supercar start from $145,000, somewhat equivalent to AED 535,000.
Built with Love by Hand
Built at the Audi’s Böllinger Höfe factory by hand, the Rear Wheel Series(RWS) seeks to target purists that prioritise driving enjoyment. For this purpose, Audi said that the new 2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS has been given a specially tuned chassis that was setup for compared drifts.
There’s been savings too, with a decrease in weight by 50 kg in the Coupe form, that weighs 1,590 kg, against the standard all-wheel drive cars.
Since all the weight difference comes due to lack of all-wheel drive components like multi-plate clutch, prop shaft apart from a centre differential, the 2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS’s weight balance has been affected too, with the RWS model being even more rear biased. The car has a black finished 19-inch alloy wheels in a gorgeous five-spoke design.
Some other features that are specific to the RWS are a gloss black side blade and a new matte painted grille. An optional red stripe runs around the 2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS’ rear, roof and the bonnet.
Within the car are Alcantara and leather seats along with a dash plaque that indicates the car’s build number out of total 999.
The RWS has a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine which produces 540 horsepower apart from 540 Nm Torque at 6,500 RPM, letting the Coupe variant go from 0-100 km/h in a paltry 3.7 seconds.
