Mercedes-AMG GT3 Edition 50 Commemorates AMG’s 50 Years!
In celebration of 50 years of its motoring brilliance, AMG has come up with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Edition 50. The GT3 Edition 50 is nothing like any previous project of Mercedes AMG.
The GT3 Edition 50 has been based on the powerful AMG GT3 race car, and are decked out with the grey paint and black stripes. “50 Years AMG” has been plastered on each side.
The car carries an aggressive styling cue on its front bumper, side skirts, and fenders, etc. with Carbon Fibre being aplenty. On the rear end, there is a rear wing, enlarged rear diffuser, and some more Carbon Fibre inserts.
The car has been modified according to a racing approach, with the removal of standard seats and the standard steering wheel. In their place are carbon fibre bucket seats that have racing harnesses, a smaller steering wheel and a roll cage. There is even modification within the instrument panel with the use of a digital dashboard instrument panel that comes with the race inspired switch gear.
The engine for the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Edition 50 models has been changed too; Now, an AMG-tuned V8 6.3 litre engine that is powered by petrol is being used to propel this rear wheel drive vehicle. The car has a six-speed sequential racing transmission to complete the look and feel of the racing unit.
Although the production of the GT3 Edition 50 will be limited to a minuscule five street legal units, seeing Dubai’s record with supercars, one of them might find its way on the roads of Dubai.
