McLaren 3-seater takes to the asphalt for the first time
Last time we have seen a bizarre track inspired sports car gobbling up the road, this time its McLaren 3-seater.
The new model codenamed as BP23 bears many similarities from the iconic McLaren F1. To make a mark in the automotive industry this time, the company has come up with a three-seat setup instead of traditional two-seat configuration.
Production is Limited to 106 units only and all of them are already sold out as lot of people have registered for it in advanced.
The company is yet to spill the light on numbers or an engine, however, one can expect a tuned version of V8 twin-turbo 4.0-Litre petrol engine with some sort of hybrid power.
Expect the car to churn no less than horsepower of 1000 which will also allow it to accelerate quickly to higher top speed as compared to its predecessors.
In case you forgot, the predecessor, McLaren Fl boasts a 6.1-Litre V12 petrol engine exclusively available with a 6-speed manual driving. The car can hit 100 miles per hour in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 386 miles per hour.
These numbers are no doubt still impressive if compared to any of the present day sports cars.
How much will you have to spend for a McLaren 3-Seater?
Are you sat down? Good, one unit is priced at around $2.5-million or AED 9,182,500, and that’s if you were one of the lucky few who were shortlisted.
McLaren has also stated that this model will not be part of the Ultimate Series and the quaint manufacturer has plans to unleash a track-ready hypercar which you can expect to show up in the next two years though no release date has been announced by the company.
