Maserati Unveils its 2018 Ghibli in China
Maserati has relaunched the 2018 Ghibli nameplate on the back of a 4-door sedan, and thanks to its first-ever SUV, Levante, has been on a rise, with it selling close to 42,00 cars last year, a record in itself.
The entry-level 2018 Ghibli model has been a crucial part of the Maserati’s lineup since its inception in 2013. Now, the company has decided to give it a much-needed facelift as well as an update to keep it on tips in comparison to any glaring competition.
Maserati chose the Chengdu motor show in China this week as an opportunity to showcase the latest iteration of its facelifted Ghibli. China seems to be a growing market for the luxury car maker, with it selling around 12,000 units last year, and the numbers for this year expectedly being 18,000.
The latest 2018 Ghibli has got a restyled fascia that features a new front bumper, new chrome grille bars and bits of chrome garnishing, helping the car look familiar to the complete Maserati’s range
Although, if viewed from its side, the GranLusso trim, gets new side skirts and new badges. There is also new body coloured details apart from a new rear bumper.
Apart from the cosmetic touch, Maserati has also improved the aerodynamics and improved(lessened) the overall drag. Finally. The headlights have been upgraded to adaptive full LEDs that have glare-free Matrix high beams.
The car is expected to make a premiere around the GCC region as well, so it can be expected that the car will be making an appearance at the Dubai Motor Show 2017 this November.
