Lotus Reveals Evora GT430 Limited Edition
Lotus, the British manufacturer has recently revealed its Evora GT430 4-seater. Sporting a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine, the GT430 seems to be the most hardcore model to arrive from the stables of Lotus.
The V6 engine has been taken from Toyota for the Lotus Evora GT430 and produces 430 Horsepower and 440 Nm torque. The car will only come paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox; this should give the stick enthusiasts some motivation to get the vehicle.
Light Weight Chassis Leads the Way to Powerful Performance
The car has been modelled on a lightweight chassis with an extensive use of carbon-fibre for decreasing the weight of the car, and so the car can utilise power better. All in all, the measures have caused a difference of around 36 kg!
The car’s performance can be gauged from the fact that it goes from 0-100 kmph in less than 4 seconds. Furthermore, the top speed of the Lotus Evora GT430 is 305 km/h.
Design Changes in the Evora GT430
The aero appendages of the GT430 include a new carbon-fibre splitter, a large carbon-fibre wing, larger front apertures, louvres combined with a bigger than ever rear diffuser and air blades.
The visual appeal of the GT430 is largely dominated by the large rear wing; this alone has the potential to produce 249 kg worth of downforce at the GT 430’s rear.
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires will be provided for the 20-inch rear and 19-inch front alloys. The car’s interior offers carbon-fibre inserts within the cabin. Additionally, the choice of sports seat comes in the form of either leather or Alcantara.
However, only 60 units of the Evora GT430 will be built for the global markets. This might mean that the cars might have been sold by now. Although, it is possible that some of them may show up in the GCC markets or perhaps in the UAE.
