Lincoln 2017 Continental Up for Grabs in the UAE
Lincoln, Ford’s luxury arm has been trying to make a comeback for a long time now. And that seems plausible now, with the 2017 Continental; a car that can curate a luxurious experience and put Lincoln on the front lines and back into the competition.
The 2017 Continental was unveiled before the 2016 New York motor show and has garnered much attention since then. The car has been released for sale in the UAE and will compete with the UAE’s superior cars that seem to throng it from all directions.
The car has been launched at the starting price of AED 199,000 and will be imported into the country by the Al Tayer Motors. The price tag puts the car in the same league as the cars from Chrysler, Mercedes, Genesis, and Bentley.
According to Lincoln, there are some promising features within the 2017 model, with even the door latching system being promised as a segment first. Other equipment within the 2017 Continental includes front seats that have drawn inspiration from those of a private aircraft, a well as a twin-panel moonroof that is optional.
Coming to the hardware, Lincoln has provided a parking assist system along with a 360-degree camera, loads of LEDs, and adaptive cruise control, which can bring the 2017 Continental to a complete stop automatically with zero input from the driver. The car’s engine is the Ford’s latest 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that builds up 575 Nm torque and 373 horsepower.
Let’s see how the performance and the sales fare once the car is on the roads of UAE.
