Lexus Launches LC 500 and LC 500h in the UAE & GCC Region
Lexus has recently launched its LC 500 and LC 500h cars for the United Arab Emirates and the rest of the GCC.
The LC series from the Lexus is its first approach at a grand tourer model. The coupe will be powered by two engine choices, a 5.0 litre and a 3.5-litre engine. The 5.0-litre V8 engine has been mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission which helps it produce around 467 horsepower and 527 Nm of torque. This combination is what drives the car from 0-100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. The other engine variant is a 3.5-litre V6 engine that has been coupled with an electric motor, with a hybrid transmission of a combined 4-speed automatic and CVT. This produces about 354 horsepower and 348 Nm of torque with the car being able to go from 0-100 kmph in just 5 seconds.
Some standard features in the LC500 include smart entry and start system, LED headlamps, cruise control, panoramic roof, 10-way power front seats, HUD, 21-inch alloy wheels, navigation system and a Mark Levinson surround sound system among other features.
There is also a Carbon edition that is exclusively available for the V8 that has a carbon moon roof, carbon scuff plates, and the Lexus Dynamic Handling that is the Lexus’ 4 wheel steering wheel system. There are even additional safety features in the Carbon edition like lane assist system, blind spot monitor, traction and stability control, multiple airbags on all sides, and rear cross traffic alert system.
The LC 500 and the LC 500h will have a cost of AED 395,000 in the UAE. The Carbon variant will carry a price tag of around AED 450,000.
