Jaguar’s Futuristic Steering Wheel Is What People Will Control in Future
In the future of seemingly connected shareable cars, there may be a little scope of private vehicle ownership, however, the car manufacturers aren’t fazed by the notion.
Rather, they are working to embrace the technological advancements and reasoning about the vehicles in the shared future network. Since the vehicles will spend lesser time on an average parked and more time being used, it’ll lead to vehicles covering more miles in a relatively shorter time thus causing the need for replacement earlier.
Jaguar Land Rover is one of the companies looking forward to a future of shareable cars, with the company unveiling its steering wheel concept at the recently held JLR 2017 Tech Fest. The event was held at the Univ of Arts, London where the Jaguar’s futuristic steering wheel was showcased.
According to Jaguar’s thinking, the Jaguar’s Futuristic Steering Wheel will be the only personal control unit one will need to own in the future. Depending upon the personal control unit that’s compatible with a variety of vehicles. Depending upon the membership purchased by a user, the car companies will unlock the membership for the usage of additional vehicles.
The Jaguar’s Futuristic Steering Wheel system has been named ‘Sayer’, in a tribute to Malcolm Sayer, a famous Jaguar designer. The smart wheel will be able to pick out custom routes and give the user control with suggestions about driving roads that one might enjoy driving on!
