Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Finally Launched
Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations(SVO) has designed the most powerful Jaguar till now. The XE SV Project 8 was earlier seen at the Germany’s Nurburgring track and was supposed to launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
And launch it did.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a beast by all accounts, and Jaguar takes no time in agreeing with it.
The car is powered by a 592 horsepower 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 engine.
The car’s exterior is in Valencia Orange, while the XE SV Project 8 has a lot of hand-built panels that are unique to the car. The front end of the car had to changed for accommodating its larger 5.0-liter V8 engine.
From the front to the rear, the car makes use of a lot of Carbon Fibre. Additionally, the wheel arches have been flared for containing the beast’s 305mm rear racing tyres. Titanium and forged Aluminum have been used in the car too for exhaust and the wheels.
The XE SV Project 8’s interiors are of a typical Jaguar XE along with some changes. The Carbon Fiber front seats have been covered in black leather. While in the track version, a roll cage has been included instead of the rear seats.
Further features include touchscreen GPS, 4G WiFi hotspot and USB ports.
592 horsepower is the highest Jaguar has ever gone for a supercharged V8. The car has been mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission which works over the all-wheel-drive. The 0-100 kmph comes easy for the car at less than 3.5 seconds and the top speed is over 320 km/h.
A total of 300 units of the Jaguar SE SV Project 8 costing AED 713,000 will be made.
