It seems as if Jaguar is on a spree to churn out powerful machines. After the company released the XE SV Project 8 a few days ago, the company has now stolen the attention again with their full-size sedan, the upgraded 2018 Jaguar XJR575 Super Sedan.
The XE SV Project 8 also won the Michelin Supercar Showstopper Trophy at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which does showcase the Jaguar’s capability to churn out great cars one one after another.
Jaguar had given its XJ sedan a lot of performance updates for creating the XJR575 Super Sedan.
The newly upgraded vehicle uses the similar supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine from Jaguar, however, it has been tuned further to provide an output of 575 horsepower. This output has been increased by 25 as compared to before. With such power under the hood, the XJR575 can go to a max speed of 300 km/h and reach 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds.
To make the car look further aggressive, Jaguar has made the body of XJR575 with a full body kit, that includes rear and front spoilers and vents in the hood. Two new shades have been added, which are Satin Corris Grey and Velocity Blue by the SVO for giving the XJR575 a sporty and distinct appearance.
The car’s interior is no less, with it being littered with 575 badges. There is a 4G WiFi hotspot, which can connect up to 8 devices. On the centre console is a 10-inch touchscreen that offers the option of a customizable home screen. To help make the commute easier and convenient, the XJR575 has a feature known as the Commute Mode that learns the daily commute routine and provides alternation to the daily route in case of the road being clogged with the traffic.
The Jaguar XJR575 has safety features like the Forward Traffic Detection for driving in conditions where the visibility is less. Moreover, other features are Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor and Autonomous Emergency Braking pedestrian safety system.
The autonomous emergency braking system utilizes a forward facing camera for spotting pedestrians. if spotted, then the system auto applies the brakes, when the speed is from 5-60 km/h
The orders for the 2018 XJR575 have already started coming in for UK. Let’s hope that some of these cars show up in the Saudi Arabia, UAE or other GCC countries next year.
