Jaguar Land Rover to Electrify All Vehicles From 2022
After crossing 600,000 units sales mark in 2016, Jaguar Land Rover has had a record 2016, thanks in part to the introduction of the SUVs in its lineup. Now, Jaguar is planning its next step in resurgence.
The company is readying itself to launch its I-Pace electric crossover, that’s scheduled to go on sale next year. Furthermore, Jaguar is pushing itself on a stronger commitment over high-efficiency motoring with claims that talk about all Jaguar cars from 2020 to be electrified.
And, included in it will be all the vehicles from the Land Rover Brand. Considering that Jaguar’s current tech highlight is its 5.0-litre supercharged V8, this seems like a bold move, and yet, enthralling with lots of future prospects.
For proving its seriousness about the claim, Jaguar has revealed its Jaguar Future-Type concept that envisions a car of 2040 and beyond. The funky-autonomous concept showcases the connected world of tomorrow, highlighting a control device that’s not even a part of it.
For connecting the car, Jaguar has thought up an advanced steering wheel known as the Sayer. Based on the car sharing platform, Sayer will be able to use your subscription to offer you the vehicles that you are entitled to. It’ll also be further customisable.
The Future-Type acts as a research project for the Jaguar to help learn on how it can appeal to the future customers, explore concepts such as membership clubs, concierge service, and even on-demand services.
