INFINITI Q50 2018 Model’s Production Started
The production of the INFINITI’s premium sports sedan, the 2018 INFINITI Q50 has begun at the Japanese facility of the company. The first vehicles are being manufactured in the Tochigi facility of the company; and will be shipped for sale later this summer.
The 2018 INFINITI Q50 red sport 400 will sport the VR30 engine. Recently made a part of the ’10 Best Engines’ prestigious list of 2017; the engine has a 3.0 liter, twin turbo V6 configuration to reduce the competition to dust.
2018 model of the car has two different exterior appearances; with the performance-oriented design of the Sport variant differing from the Luxe and Pure variants of the high-performance luxury sedan. The Q50’s interior design has been updated, and with improved technologies, it is intended to enhance the driving experience.
Since its first-generation model came out on the roads in the year 2013, the Q50 has become the INFINITI’s best selling model; with global sales of over 210,000 cars of the first iteration. The 2016 edition bettered this record with global sales of more than 230,000 vehicles; totaling almost one-third the total cars sold by INFINITI in the year.
With exceptional build quality and capabilities, the Q50 seems to be on track to deliver the high standards of performance set by the INFINITI.
Roland Krueger, Global President and Chairman of the INFINITI reflected the company’s commitments along with its global plans. He opined that the production system of the company is based on a strict ‘kaizen’ process that lays emphasis on continuous improvement for bettering each business aspect.
