Ford Escape 2017 Model Launched in the UAE
The 2017 Ford Escape has been launched across the UAE and GCC region. The car has a lot of avid followers who have been yearning to get behind the wheels of the car.
The car hasn’t been revamped completely and has received a facelift.
The designers at the Ford have redesigned the Ford Escape’s front grille to have headlights which sport LED strips. The carmaker has allowed the customization of either 17-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels with unique finishes.
In the interiors section, the Ford Escape have lesser buttons than the previous models with more refined interiors. The Ford’s SYNC infotainment system has been updated for the 2017 model. The upgrades to make the system more responsive and quicker were done after several customers raised the issues to Ford.
Handsfree parking, voice activating smartphone apps, etc. have also been added to the system. Also, this marks the first time that the Ford Escape will have full support for both voice and text assistance in the Arabic language.
Engine Configuration of Ford Escape
The GCC specifications for the 2017 Ford Escape models have been provided with two 4-cylinder engines. The choices are the 2-liter or 2.5-liter naturally aspirated Duratec engine. The 2-liter variant will have 240 horsepower and 366 Nm torque; while the 2.5-liter engine will give out 170 Horsepower and 230 Nm torque.
The import models will have different engines as compared to the GCC models.
Front wheel drive is a standard for all the variants; while 6-speed automatic gearbox along with paddle shifters will be present too in all the variants.
