Ford To Auction Custom Built F-150 Raptor Based on F22 Jet
Ford is known to auction customised models every year at different events. This year the event will take place on July 27, 2017, and the car that has been selected for the auction is new Ford Raptor 2017. Last year, a custom Mustang was auctioned at the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event.
The main attraction of this customised Ford Raptor is that it is similar to the fighter jet F22. Both are coated with grey paint, red highlights and added dark grey stripes; the new Raptor has an exterior fog light bar mounted above the windshield.
The customised Raptor 2017 has carbon fibre wheel arches, rims highlighted with black and red colour and a unique front grille.
The one-off Ford Raptor model has been fitted with a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 petrol motor under its hood. A juicy piece of information about the car’s engine is that it packs 545 horsepower, which should provide the Raptor with a powerful performance. This is due to the car receiving various tweaks in the engine department for fine-tuning the performance.
For the model, Ford decided to not go overboard with the cabin since the Raptor 2017 itself has undergone a lot of work otherwise.
