Dubai RTA to Beat Traffic Trouble this Eid Al-Fitr
Dubai RTA has revealed a plan for managing traffic and public transport for the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
The RTA’s plan aims to take into account the needs of public and road users; to offer services for enabling a smooth and safe means of transit in the emirate.
Dubai RTA is focusing especially on the Dubai Mall/Business Bay district; an area which serves around 330,000 people in a day during the holiday time. The area has been described as being frequently congested during the Eid Al-Fitr Holiday each year.
A plan has been put into action that will encompass installing 30 directional signs for guiding traffic around several directions to the Burj Khalifa area.
The overall objective is to ease the pressure on the Financial Centre Street seemingly and will ensure smooth flow of traffic during the peak hours.
Taxicabs in the drop-off and pick-up area of Dubai Mall will be increased by around 5 percent to meet the growing demand in the area.
