Dubai Police To Help Boxed-in Drivers
Fed up with people who park their car illegally whenever and wherever they find a place so that they don’t have to be in a queue for long parking lots?
Not anymore, Dubai police have recently announced a new app to get rid of these kinds of problems. As per the new rules and regulations that are in effect from July 1, drivers who break the law by parking at wrong places or block the way of law-abiding drivers will now have to pay a penalty of AED 500.
The app is configured with Dubai police database, and people can easily send the plate number of the vehicle that has been parked wrong, thus, breaking the law. Police will then send an SMS to the owner, and the owner will have to remove their car, or they will have to tell the person if they are not driving at that moment.
Previously whenever there was an issue like this, tickets had been issued by the Dubai Police and then the respective owner had to submit the fine at the court. Dubai Police said that they are planning to add more features in the app to resolve issues related to traffic.
The driver can now easily report the problems using the app. If there is a delay to solve the issue by the drivers within a given period, then the respective penalty will be issued.
The App is now available for Android and iOS devices in their respective stores.
