Dubai Police adds 2 new Supercars to its fleet
Dubai is the city known to be made for travel by cars. And it’s known for its sparkle and attracts many tourists from across the world to its numerous tourist destinations.
And a city like Dubai, UAE which is all about Aplomb and fanfare how would it reflect on the city if the first contact point and the keepers of Law & Order are driving around in a tattered Station Wagon, no offense meant!

Audi Supercars Inducted in Dubai Police:
Audi Q7 and Audi R8 cars were added to the supercar patrol fleet of Dubai police by The Dubai Police General HQ. This induction is a part of the public outreach program aimed at reaching out to the residents of UAE residents on traffic safety.
Late His Excellency Lt.-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received Ali Al Nabooda (GM – Audi Al Nabooda Automobiles). Mr. Nabooda accompanied a Audi Middle East delegation. The new police patrol cars were announced thereafter by the Dubai Police General Headquarters.
Late HE Lt.-General Al Mazeina said the police have always sought for the enhancement of the security of the emirate, and the introduction of the new cars in the fleet of supercars is aligned with that aim.
“This comes in context of the commitment of the Police HQ of Dubai in working with Al Nabooda Automobiles to improve traffic standards, raise awareness among young drivers, and ensure public safety.”
Audi R8 is a 2 – Seater sports supercar that can race from 0 – to – 60 in under 4 seconds! It draws its power from a 525 horsepower V10 engine. Incidentally, the engine is borrowed from Lamborghini Gallardo. Audi R8 has been garnering rave reviews and phenomenal success since its debut in 2008.
Audi Q7 is the embodiment of “Vorsprung Durch Technik”: With fuel consumption less by 27 percent than its predecessor, it achieves the best ranking in efficiency in the competition. Dubai Police adds 2 new Supercars – Their role:

These supercars would be used for patrolling touristic areas around the city. Burj Kalifa, Jumeirah Beach Residence, the Dubai Mall and the Burj Al Arab, have the privilege of being graced by the presence of the supercars of Dubai Police.

The Dubai Police fleet has the stature of Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Mercedes SLS AMG, McLaren MP4-12C and Aston Martin One-77 which is considered extremely rare. Add to that some other marvelous mean machines like Nissan GT-R NISMO and Nissan Patrol NISMO. Bentley Continental GT, a Mercedes SL 63, a Nissan GTR and Mercedes G class Brabus. The Dubai Police has been building up its supercars fleet since the start of 2013 starting with a Ferrari FF and Lamborghini Aventador.
