Dubai Motor Show 2017 to Have 2018 Ford Expedition
Ford Middle East has confirmed the arrival of 2018 Ford Expedition to the 2017 Dubai Motor Show before the vehicle will go on sale in the GCC region.
The latest model will replace the current model of Ford Expedition, which utilizes a 2003 pickup truck-based platform and starts with a price tag of AED 165,000. The all-new model of the 2018 Ford Expedition has been based on the Aluminum intensive F-150.
The new 2018 Ford Expedition has a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that’s been tuned to deliver 400 horsepower. The car will have a 10-speed transmission as compared to old six-speed automatic transmission.
2018 Ford Expedition has a best in class towing capacity, with Ford mentioning that the vehicle can tow more than 4.2 tonnes.
As per Ford, a total of 40 new features has been added to the vehicle. This includes a host of driver assist technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, and collision avoidance.
Also, another reason to rejoice is that there is an option to have an electronic limited-slip differential, which has become newly available and is beneficial for anyone looking to opt for off-roading or rough driving in particular.
