Castrol and Dubai RTA Plan a Unique Initiative
As a part of Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) initiative for safety, free child car seats are being distributed at select few hospitals in Dubai.
The campaign is a part of Castrol’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
In a press release, Castrol stated, “The lucky parents of new-born’s in some of the Dubai hospitals will be provided with free child car seats. With no strings attached.”
For ensuring that the message of using child car seats as per the new federal guidelines, the campaign even has an online module. Parents will able to send a recently clicked photograph of their little child and the car on their social media pages using the hashtag #MagnatecLove2Protect.
The Press statement by Castrol quoted Deema Hussein too, who is the traffic awareness senior manager at the Dubai RTA, as saying: “Since the newly amended traffic laws, as well as regulations, have made it compulsory for parents to use proper child car seats in the car for any child below four years of age.”
The new federal laws came over the growing trends by the residents of UAE being seemingly unaware about the dangers of driving with infants who aren’t sat in proper car seats.
Marketing Director, Castrol Middle East, Parul Sikka, further added, “Through the initiative with the RTA, we’ll are working onto participate in the circle of protection and care for the people within the car, especially the little ones.”
