Cadillac’s Super Cruise Semi Autonomous System To Cost $5,000
Cadillac has confirmed the pricing of top-end Cadillac CT6 models that’ll be equipped with the Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi autonomous system.
As per the Company, which previously changed the norms about offering the system inclusive of the car cost, the new CT6 will start at around $71,300; a price that puts the CT6 in the same line as an entry-level, Tesla Model S, which carries a similar tech.
The standalone cost of the Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi autonomous system will be $5,000, up from the previous speculations made of it being $2,500. The system, however, will be given as a standard feature on the top end variant, i.e. the CT6 Premium Luxury trim, which starts carrying a price tag of $85,290, inclusive of shipping.
The Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi autonomous system is a part of Cadillac’s ‘2018i’.
Super Cruise has Cadillac’s Driver Awareness as well as Convenience, Enhanced Vision and Comfort packages.
Unlike its competitors like Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac’s system doesn’t enforce drivers into touching the steering wheel after a certain interval of time to gauge if they can take access of the vehicle if the need demands it. Rather. the CT6 has an infrared camera in its steering column for watching the driver’s eyes.
