BMW New Logo For Top End Models
BMW is really working on the aesthetics appeal these days, along with new entries in its lineup. The carmaker is launching a BMW new logo that’s different from existing one and is a coloured black-and-white logo that’ll be used by the company for marketing its elite models globally.
This new look made its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show and is going to be used for the BMW’s existing 7 series as well as i8 coupe. Apart from these vehicles, the i8 Roadster, 8-series coupe and X7 large SUV too will be getting this.
The concept involving the BMW new logo is about the B/W version of the car maker’s roundel that was first used a century before along with the company’s full name in German-Bayerische Motoren Werke, which was written in full. The vehicles getting the treatment will be referred to as just the 7, the X7 and the 8.
BMW plans to maintain the company name spelling in German for the logo in its upper-end models and will use them even for US-headed models.
The new positioning is being called as a more tactful modern approach. The approach used was highlighted by BMW as being used in the fashion industry, where designers put full names on the most luxurious lines while using the initials for branding the affordable lines.
Although, dealerships won’t have to update any element or signage of their buildings as this new luxury branding will only be used for the BMW’s communication activities.
BMW has been contemplating on how it can strengthen the relationship with buyers of the higher-end models. Although the specifics haven’t yet been determined, quite a few more interesting ideas have been floated too.
