BMW 1-Series Gets Minor Updates
BMW 1-Series Hatchback has been a minor update for 2018.
The update which took place months before the release of the updated model and acts as the last model of RWD before BMW adds the option for Front-Wheel Drive layout too. The refreshed 1-Series Hatchback will be sold in the three door and five door variants.
However, the overall facelift does feel quite subtle, and the car looks just about the same as the one it’ll replace.
There has been an addition of new colour options, and a new set of wheels which give the car even more appeal.
For the interiors, the centre console over the dashboard has been updated for the 2018 BMW 1-Series. A new instrument cluster, cover for the cup holders, revised centre stack, the addition of chrome and updated air vents are all part of what’s new about the 2018 model. In the infotainment section, the car has been given a Wi-Fi hotspot which will be able to connect max ten devices.
The engine in the car will remain just as same, with the turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine producing outputs ranging from 107 horsepower to 134 horsepower. For a bigger boost, the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine will come in handy, which dishes out 181 horsepower and 221 horsepower.
Those who wish to opt for a diesel offering can use the 340 horsepower 3.0-liter inline-6 engine of the M140i.
The next generation model of the 1-Series Hatchback will have the updated range of powertrains.
The next-gen 1-Series will be available by the end of 2018, or early 2019. The next model of 1-Series will be lighter and bigger, all thanks to the use of the UKL platform.
The 2018 BMW 1-Series can be expected in the Saudi Arabia, UAE as well as other GCC countries by early 2018.
