Australian Patriot Campers Unleash their Off-Road Vehicle for Middle East
Australia and the Middle East both have a common love for off-roading.
At the Automechanika Dubai 2017 Expo, Australian company Patriot Campers announced their entry into the Middle Eastern off-roading market. The company did so in style as they unveiled a custom-built Toyota Land Cruiser, which seems to be ready for the deserts of the region.
Patriot Campers specializes in equipment that Australians use to traverse through the Australia’s vast desert-like dry area.
At the Automechanika Dubai 2017, an event which received a lot of attention for its implications for the $14 billion automotive parts industry of UAE. A Toyota LC79 Super Tourer version that has been heavily custom modified was shown by the company. The vehicle has been designed as a mobile go-anywhere camp site in its new avatar.
The vehicle has the Toyota Land Cruiser GXL chassis and utilizes Mickey Thompson off-road tires, ROH wheels, heavily upgraded suspension components, front and rear winches, an auxiliary water tank, and an electric pump.
Four tool boxes are situated underneath the rear box compartment, and an additional drawer shelf is located above the vehicle’s rear bumper. Communication technologies and a navigational suite are a part of the off-road vehicle.
A pull-up tent for twin sharing has been provided on the roof to give a unique offroading experience. A bull bar, air snorkel, a heavy duty antenna, and spare wheels and tires have been provided too.
The engine department of the off-road vehicle doesn’t disappoint either, with Toyota’s 4.5-liter V8 turbo diesel engine that has been mated with a five-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle is sure to be given a warm welcome in the Middle Eastern market by the eager off-roading experts.
