Audi Sport will Reveal 5 New Models by 2020
Audi looks as if it has a lot of plans for the recently branded Quattro GmbH. Now, it goes with the banner of Audi Sport, with the powerhouse wanting to launch at least five more models by the year 2020. This will take the company’s total cars to a figure of 16.
Right now, Audi Sport has 11 models including both models of the R8, the convertible models and coupe, as well as RS3 hatchback and sedan, RS5 coupe, TT RS coupe and convertible, RS Q3, RS6 Avant, RS4 Avant and RS7 Sportback.
The recently unveiled Audi R8 RWS is also a part of this lineup. This is the first time that an Audi will come with a rear-wheel drivetrain that’s bolted to a traditional 5.2-liter V10 petrol engine, which is rated at 532 horsepower. This lets the car go from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The automaker will be producing only 999 units of the newly revealed beast.
Although there’s no announcement officially, it can be safely assumed that the RS5 Cabriolet will be a part of the additions apart from enhanced variants of the crossover/SUV for joining in the fun.
