Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus is Here!
The second generation of the Audi R8 Spyder V10 has received the ‘Plus’ treatment, much like the hardtop version. After a year since it was revealed, now Audi has come out with the Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus. The Plus variant will come with lesser weight and more power as compared to the standard model.
Exterior and Interior of the Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus
Not a lot of visual updates have been done on the vehicle. But even then, the changes are exciting, to say the least!
The Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus’ exhaust tips and grill have been given an anthracite gray look. While the Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus will now also come in the new Micrommata Green paint. Even the wheels have been changed, with a set of light-alloy forged wheels being available as a standard issue. The black interior of the car has been given a Nappa Leather upholstery along with green stitching. The dashboard has gotten exciting too, with the addition of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Despite all the aesthetic changes, what’s more happening in this car is the engine. The R8 Spyder now has the most powerful engine in Audi’s entire lineup, being the naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 610 horsepower along with 560 Nm Torque. This, along with a decrease in weight by 25 kg enables the R8 Spyder V10 Plus to go from 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds, a difference of 0.3 seconds as compared to standard variant. The top speed has increased by 10 km/h too, now taking the number to 328 km/h.
Audi has begun taking orders for the Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus in Germany only as of yet. However, it can be expected to reach the UAE and GCC region by early next year.
