Ariel P40 to Have Mind Whopping 1180 Horsepower
Ariel, the British boutique sports car company has now been working to get into the domain of electric cars.
The company is developing a new car Ariel P40 which has a lithium-ion battery pack coupled with four 295-horsepower electric motors. This exaggerated display of power takes the total power of the car to a total of 1,180 horsepower making it a literal display of automotive superior performance.
Rather than just normal scaffolding as well a couple of seats such as those found in Ariel’s Nomad or Atom model, Ariel is building the EV using an Aluminium monocoque tub, which has been wrapped in a bodywork of carbon fibre. The targeted weight limit that Ariel is planning is around 1.6 tonnes.
The car has been codenamed the Ariel P40 in its development stage and now the car is undergoing some serious and promising performance. While spinning wheel in the dry, the car attains a speed of 0-160 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
It is expected that when Ariel’s vehicle goes on sale, the car will have a price range of somewhere around AED 1 million.
After an all-wheel-drive quad motor Ariel P40, the company plans to introduce a two-wheel drive variant that’ll have two motors producing a total of 700 horsepower.
