Waymo is looking to expand its self-driving car efforts and expects autonomous vehicles to be able to take over longer distance trucking in the coming
A lot of experts along with Waymo expect the self-driving vehicles to take the reins from humans for long distance trucking in the years to come. The human drivers will handle local pickup and delivery route.
