Abu Dhabi Acts on Strict Norms on Abandoned Cars
Abu Dhabi is on a spree to make sure that it improves law and order in the emirate as a part of the new regulations being unveiled.
Five vehicles were recently seized in the emirate while five vehicle owners have been served a warning, in a move that targets abandoned cars in the emirate.
As per the state news agency WAM, Integrated Transport Centre, Al Sahraa Transport, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi City Municipality were responsible for carrying out the inspection for the campaign.
Covering the Abu Dhabi Corniche as well as the Hamdan Street, the campaign has been made for the protection of the city’s landscape from types of disfigured elements.
People have been cautioned against leaving their vehicles unattended around the emirate for extended periods since that mars the city’s look, it added.
The municipality will combat the phenomenon of leaving cars in public squares and parking spaces for a long duration. A penalty of AED 3,000 will have to be shelled out by the offenders.
