2019 Mercedes CLS Saloon Spotted Sans Camo
Yet again, the 2019 Mercedes CLS Saloon has made its way into the lens of photographers, being spotted in the wild and bears testimony that radically changes always isn’t the answer. The car was spotted recently in Germany. What’s good was this particular model of CLS didn’t have any camouflage for covering the exterior of the car, thus giving us a clear picture of what’s yet to come.
Although, there’s a small catch since the spy photographers stumbled upon the model, not on road, instead they found it parked.
What’s new in the 2019 Mercedes CLS?
Although there’s not much of radical change from the predecessors, its smaller sunroof is primarily evident along with a slender boot and the chrome exhaust tips which stick out of either side.
In the interiors, there’s nothing less than premium leather that covers the traditional air conditioning outlets, seating arrangements, dashboard and a tri-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The center column of the car has been highlighted using a larger multimedia screen which is a bit similar to the one used in the S-Class.
Further reports suggest that the entire lineup will have a wide range of unique drivetrains, including a four-cylinder engine, which is rated at 295 horsepower, a six-cylinder engine that has 362 horsepower as well as an AMG tuned powerplant that has the hybrid tech and generates 429 horsepower.
And, when it comes to diesel power units, entry-level models will be benefitting from the 241-cylinder engine as well as two inline-six cylinder engines that are rated at 281 hp and 335 hp.
The power distribution will be through RWD or AWD using automatic gearboxes.
The 2019 Mercedes CLS models is likely to be unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show that commences next month, with actual sales starting in the year 2018.
