2018 XTS Sedan Updated by Cadillac as Promised
Cadillac has updated the infotainment system, chassis and the styling of the 2018 model of its XTS Sedan. This has been done so as to make sure the XTS Sedan doesn’t become obsolete as compared to the newer and larger CT6.
The changes within the 2018 XTS Sedan include LED lighting, new grille, and re-engineered front seats. The scope of improvement goes on to prove the Cadillac’s dedication in making sure the XTS stays updated.
It had been earlier speculated that the company might kill off XTS when the CT6 had been revealed last year. But, this update should lay rest to the speculations. XTS became the Cadillac’s best-selling car last year, and hence the company had promised a major refresh to the sedan.
2018 XTS Sedan will be shorter by around 1.1 inches as compared to current model. The Sedan’s fenders, front and rear fascia, headlights and taillights have all been refreshed to give the car a design that slightly resembles the CT6.
For the interior, 2018 XTS Sedan features the Cadillac User Experience infotainment system, a next generation system that found its debut in 2017 model of CTS. Putting the customer’s comfort first, the updated XTS has modifications within the front seats’ wire frame structure, heat pad and foam geometry. The car’s increased sound insulation also provides comfort while travelling anywhere. Additionally, there are several trim options and new interior colours.
The engine options seem to have been kept the same with the twin-turbo powered V-Sport edition trusted to give the sedan a powerful performance again.
The Cadillac 2018 XTS Sedan has been scheduled for sale in this fall.
