2018 Suzuki Swift Sport Glimpse Given Before Frankfurt Motor Show
For spicing up the 2018 variant of the Suzuki Swift hatchback range that was launched in the month of January this year, Suzuki is working on launching the turbocharged Swift Sport at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017.
The Swift Sport variant will be provided with aggressively sculpted bumpers on the front. The black front skirts stand out well with the other blacked out design elements of the car such as pillar, side skirts and the grille. Apart from that, the alloy wheels of the Swift will be updated also. The Swift Sport will be retaining the Swift’s standard floating roof as well.
As per reports, the turbocharged Swift Sport will set aside the naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine that it had earlier and will opt for the turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder Boosterjet engine, which gives out the output of 140 Horsepower and 220 Nm Torque.
While the overall increase of power is just about 4 Horsepower, the new Swift Sport has tried some other ways to utilize the power in a better manner,
The Swift Sport has been built on a new platform and hence, the total weight has reduced and will be under 1000 kgs, even though there hasn’t been any official confirmation. For reference, the Baleno hatchback, which is bigger yet uses the same platform has less than a ton of weight.
Further details about the Swift Sport will be provided as the car makes its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 in September.
