2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Drop Top Model Revealed
The Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 that starts from the next week will have a varied assortment of the latest car reveals to offer. And, in that list of offerings, there comes, yet another legendary car, 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S.
Lamborghini will be providing us with the first look of its 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This reveal follows the coupe’s launch at Sant’Agata last year.
The open-top version of the supercar is closely related to the coupe, with it having the same naturally-aspirated V12 engine that produces around 740 horsepower. Performance of the car is scintillating as ever, with Lamborghini claiming a top speed of 350 km/h as well as a 0-100 mph time of 3 seconds.
In a contrast to the non-S plain Aventador, the S model provides more power as compared to the 700 horsepower that plain Aventador offers. This roadster comes with a unique engine bridge that runs from the back window so it can be distinguished from other closed cars. The bridge has been finished in a combo of exposed carbon fiber and body paint, as well as removable roof panels.
As per Lamborghini, owners will be able to unfasten the roof panels quickly and then, it can be stowed in the front trunk or an alternate would be dropping the rear window down for making more noise.
With the use of active suspension, All-wheel drive as well as the S’ rear wheel steering system, the Lamborghini Aventador S drop-top further includes a revised suspension and the sharper Lamborghini Dynamic Steering System.
The all-wheel drive system can also send more power to the rear wheels alone, apart from the improved aerodynamic design that has the potential to increase the frontal downforce by somewhere around 130 percent, as well as 50 percent at the rear.
The Aventador S Roadster is expected to go on sale in Q1 next year and is likely to cost around AED 1.4 Million.
